Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Position Statement

Our Approach

G2 Travel recognises that environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations are becoming increasingly important for our clients, partners, suppliers and our own people.

As a global B2B wholesale tour operator, we understand that we have a responsibility to operate our business ethically, minimise our environmental impact where practical and provide a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace.

We are at the beginning of our ESG journey. While we have not yet developed a formal ESG strategy or published sustainability targets, we are committed to taking a measured and practical approach that reflects the size and nature of our business.

Rather than making commitments that we cannot yet fully support with evidence, we believe it is more important to be transparent about where we are today and to build a credible ESG programme over time.

Environmental

We recognise the importance of reducing the environmental impact of our operations and encouraging responsible business practices throughout our supply chain.

Current areas of focus include:

  • Reducing unnecessary paper consumption through digital working practices
  • Encouraging electronic documentation wherever practical
  • Promoting responsible energy use within our offices
  • Considering environmental factors when making operational decisions where appropriate
  • Beginning to assess how environmental sustainability can be incorporated into our future business strategy

We acknowledge that the travel industry has an important role to play in addressing climate change and environmental protection, and we intend to develop our approach as our ESG programme evolves.

Social

Our people are central to our business and our success.

We aim to provide a workplace that is:

  • Safe and healthy
  • Inclusive and respectful
  • Free from discrimination and harassment
  • Supportive of learning and professional development
  • Focused on employee wellbeing and engagement

We are committed to providing equal opportunities based on merit and to maintaining a workplace where everyone is treated fairly and with respect.

We also believe in supporting the communities in which we operate. We regularly organise charitable activities and encourage our teams to participate in community initiatives and fundraising events.

Governance

Good governance underpins the way we conduct business.

We are committed to:

  • Conducting business honestly, ethically and professionally
  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which we operate
  • Maintaining appropriate financial controls and internal oversight
  • Protecting confidential information and personal data
  • Treating customers, suppliers and business partners fairly
  • Promoting integrity and accountability throughout the organisation

Working with Suppliers

As a wholesale travel business, we work with thousands of hotels and tourism suppliers around the world.

Although we do not currently operate a formal supplier ESG assessment programme, we recognise the importance of responsible tourism and expect our suppliers to comply with applicable local laws and regulations.

As our ESG programme develops, we intend to strengthen our approach to supplier engagement and responsible sourcing.

Looking Ahead

We recognise that ESG expectations continue to evolve across the travel industry.

Over the coming years we intend to develop a more structured ESG framework, including:

  • Establishing formal ESG objectives
  • Identifying measurable priorities
  • Reviewing opportunities to reduce our environmental impact
  • Continuing to strengthen our governance and people practices
  • Working collaboratively with our clients and suppliers to support responsible tourism

Our objective is to build an ESG programme that is practical, transparent and proportionate to our business, while supporting the long-term sustainability of G2 Travel and the destinations in which we operate.
